Travel Program Macedonia & Kosovo

Day 1:
Arrive in Skopje, transfer to the hotel, introducing with the program and details.

After breakfast – Sightseeing of Skopje: Fortress Kale, Mustafa Pasha Mosque, Church of the Holy Saviour, Skopje Old Bazaar, Kapan Han, Kurshumli Han, the Clock Tower, Macedonia Square, the old railway station, government buildings, parliament, Mother Teresa Museum, Millennium Cross (drive with cable car), canyon Matka and boat drive to cave Vrelo. Overnight in Skopje.

After breakfast, we start the trip to Pristina, where we meet our local guide and tour of Pristina start with visit – Kosovo National Library, Mother Teresa statue, George Kastrioti Skanderbeg statue , Open Air Archeological Park, Kosovo Museum, Academy Building, Clock Tower, The Great Hammam, Ethnographic Museum. Before we finish tour in Pristina we are visiting the Bill Clinton statue and famous Hillary shop. And after that tour continue to visit Monastery Gracanica protected by UNESCO, Gracanica Monastery. We drive to second city in Kosovo with rich history, traditional handicraft shops and gastronomic pleasures open museum – Prizren which includes the attractive Ottoman Old Town, the ham-mam, the Museum of Prizren League, the Helveti Tekke, Sinia Pashaka Mosque and the church of Our Lady of Ljevis. Prizren has the largest number of preserved Ottoman buildings in Kosovo, simply wandering the old cobbled streets admiring the town houses.

After breakfast depart for Peja with stop for visit to another beautiful religious monument, the Monastery of Decan which is part of UNESCO with beautiful frescos. Arrive in Peja and visit Patriarchate of Peja, part of the UNESCO protected Medieval Monuments of Kosovo. The complex of churches which started being built in the beginning of the 13 century. It displays great cultural interest through the architecture and the beautiful frescoes. After time for rest and lunch we going to Skopje for overnight.

After breakfast proceed to Tetov­o. Visit one of the most beautiful mosques in Macedonia –  the mosque of Abdurrahman Pasha in Tetovo “Sharena Dzamija”. Proceed to National Park Mavrovo. Visit Visit Bigorski Monastery, Waterfalls Duf, Etho village Vevchani, city of Struga. Arrive in Ohrid. Overnight.

After breakfast – Ohrid City tour –  visit the old part of Ohrid  – St. Sofija, the ancient theater, upper gate, archeological place Plaoshnik, Samoil’s fortress, magnihicient St. Kaneo, drive with catamarans, after that visit St. Naum complex,  – enjoying in the view to the national park Galichica and the  Bay of Bones – “museum on the water” in Gradishte. Visit the spring area of the river “Crn Drim” ; short boat tour thru the springs. Overnight in Ohrid.

Proceed to Bitola – On the way stop in Resen to visit the “ Nijazi Beg Saraj “. Sightseeing of Bitola (the pedestrian street “Shirok sokak”, the archeological museum and the memorial house of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the old Turkish bazaar. Drive to Skopje passing thru winery region – option for wine taste and lunch. Visit archeological city Stobi. Arrive in Skopje. Overnight.
