Berovo – glow of Eastern Macedonia

In the eastern part of Macedonia, at an altitude of 800 to 900 meters, at the foot of Malesevski mountains is Berovo, a small mountain town. Berovo and Malesevija is a small region, but they represent a unique combination of almost untouched nature, cultural heritage, ethnography, traditional music and handicrafts.

Our tour start from Skopje early in the morning, drive to Eastern part of Macedonia (around 2.5 hours) and arrive in Berovo around 09.30-10.00.

Free time for time for rest and enjoy in nature. After that we start with a walking tour: The hiking is 12 km.,it begins from hotel “Manastir” on 860 m.a.s.l. and ends to “Klepalo” sheepfold on 1400 m.a.s.l.

You will walk next to the Berovo Lake, which is a very important hydrographic object for the area, a great place for kayaking and fishing. The dam was built in 1970, one of the highest arch dams in Macedonia. Walking on the colorful meadows you can taste different forest fruits, and gather many different herbs for preparing a tea. The walk will finish on the sheepfold “Klepalo” where you will have a traditional lunch prepared with eco–products from its surrounding.

Returning in from of hotel Manastir and start our trip to return in Skopje.
