Kumanovo – is located in the North-East Region of the Republic of Macedonia. It is located at the foothills of Skopska Crna Gora, in the Kumanovo Field. It has a very good traffic and geographical position. Around 1660 the settlement had about 600 houses and was characterized by a poorly developed economy. In the 19th century Kumanovo managed to separate from the surrounding settlements and to intensify its progress.
Kumanovo, North Macedonia’s largest municipality, is a city steeped in history and surrounded by mountains. It’s known for the ancient astronomical observatory of Kokino, ranked among the world’s oldest, and as the site of a pivotal 1912 battle that shaped the region. A key location during both World Wars and the 1999 Kosovo agreement, Kumanovo today is a modern city with a rich cultural scene, including an internationally recognized jazz festival. With a diverse population and convenient access via Skopje Airport and major roadways, Kumanovo offers a blend of historical significance and contemporary life
