After pick up from your hotel, we are going to visit National Park Mavrovo – which represents one of the most attractive tourist centers in Macedonia. It manages with abundance of all floral and animal world, among which is stressing numerous, and presence of does, dears, bears etc.
Near to Mavrovo are found the famous Debar villages Galichnik, Gary, Selce, Treshonce, the monastery St. Jovan Bigorski, all placed in one impressive natural environment. In the hart of Bistra mountain, lays Galichnik. Referred to synonym for authenticity, skillful excavation, art, national revivalism, impressing traditional mode, habits and architecture, and incredible tasty white and yellow cheese. Tour also included visit to the monastery St. Jovan Bigorski which is found 2 km from Rostushe village, Debar, on the altitude above the sea level of 740 m. The tour in Ohrid starts in front of the statue of Ss. Cyril and Methodius, and it continues to the Lower gate, the National Museum of Ohrid, the Church of St Sophia, the Roman amphitheater, the Upper gate, St Clement’s Church of the Holy Mother of God Most Glorious (Sveta Bogorodica Perivleptos), The Icon Gallery, Tsar Samoil’s fortress, Plaoshnik, and it ends in a walk through Ohrid’s marketplace. After relaxed breakfast we are going St. Naum with stop and visit the Museum on water – Bay of Bones – Museum on Water represents a reconstruction of a settlement from the Iron and Bronze ages, and it will be a tourist attraction for Macedonia but also for many visitors from abroad. The Museum on Water represents a place where the visitors will be able to travel back in time, from Slavic to Roman times, all the way to Prehistory, at the end of Bronze Age and the beginning of Iron Age.
The springs at St. Naum is part of the national park Galicica zone regime of strict protection, where passenger transport is carried out only by boat and is not permitted use of the engine. The church built by the monk St. Naum, beginning of X century, dedicated to the Holy Archangels Michael and Gabriel was destroyed. Besides the cultural inspiration that gives this tour, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful nature, to cruise the sources by boat, to drink coffee in one of the restaurants or while enjoying or opportunity for national organized lunch menu.
